auto vacuum cleaner offers strong pressure and smart mapping using app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is awe-inspiring. It also automatically replenishes and self-empties its water tank.
1. iRobot Roomba j7+
The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most advanced robot to date is the Roomba j7+. Its greatest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste most other robots can't avoid (and often slough through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you a photo of the object it comes across to let you know to avoid it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt with ease while leaving no trace it was there. It's simple to control via the iRobot Home app, which allows you to schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't clean areas you don't want it to. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off by speaking to it.
The design is also superior to the other models. It features a sleek, top piece that looks like an toy, not an obnoxious and loud robot. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System is self-emptying which is great to speed up cleaning.
In our tests, we found that the j7+ swiftly took away dirt, dust, and hair from pets. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place instead of scattering it across the floor. It even was able to capture sand and small gravel, which most other robots couldn't do. And all this without getting caught in our pet's hair shedding.
The j7+, although not as intelligent as the Roomba S9 for $1,217and Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and cannot clean the stairs, it's an excellent choice for those who want both a vacuum and a mop. It's not expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.
While the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however we've found it be less reliable than other applications that work with robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and often it's difficult to know if the update is actually working until you've seen it in the action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than just clean your floors A hybrid is the best choice. These bots are equipped with a water tank so they can vacuum and mop at the same time. These bots also come with many additional features like smart mapping and small object avoidance and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. The negative is that they tend to be pricey at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.
Roborock is one of our most loved robot vacuums and the Q5+ isn't an exception. It's the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. Although it doesn't come with some of the luxurious features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories) however, it's an excellent option for those who are willing to make some compromises to save a few dollars.
The Q5+ is exceptionally gentle when it comes to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it an excellent choice for homes that have many furniture pieces. It's also very thorough when it comes to cleaning dust bunnies, which is a problem where many cheaper robot vacuums fall short. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is superb and has very few missing in corners and along walls.
The Q5+, as with other Roborock products can be controlled with only a few buttons on your device or through the Roborock App. With the app you can begin and stop cleanings or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones and adjust your home map or re-label rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+ it includes a new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver however, once it's in place, emptying the bin can be done without difficulty. It comes with a huge LCD screen, which is useful when setting up schedules and changing settings. This feature isn't necessary for the majority of people, however it can help you effectively keep the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a clever well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. Its design is among the most innovative in the market however it's quite expensive.
The base station looks nice and hides it when not in use, and its size is relatively compact. But the station's main selling factor is its ability to automate many tasks and functions that other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot clean and charged.
Its vacuuming performance is also impressive. It's the only robovac I've used that has done an excellent job of removing the dust from floors with no. It's also not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

But the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly in terms of navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren’t as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means that it could get stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It's also unable to climb stairs like other competitors and doesn't come with a dock that can create a cleaning zone for plush carpets.
Although it doesn't provide as much in the way of cleaning options available in its app, or as many in-app shortcuts as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for a comprehensive mop and robot vacuum that's worth the price cost.
If you're looking for a way to save money or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are many other options on the market. Many eufy models cost significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for example, is cheaper and has more features, such as stair climbing and a full-function Dock, which provides the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on plain floors carpets, low-pile carpets as well as high-pile ones.
4. Eufy RoboVac g30
eufy is an Anker company with a history of producing robot vacuums that offer the perfect balance of features, performance, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning of hard floors as well as mopping, carpets and other surfaces at a price that is affordable. auto vacuum to set it up, simply attach one of the side brush and turn it on, then connect the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock must be located close to an outlet that has enough space to move.
The G30 is a small device that measures 2.85 inches in height, meaning it is able to fit under most couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design is more modest than other models, and features sleek black finishes and three physical buttons such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs a space in a spiral pattern for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.
The way that the G30 cleans is what separates it from its competitors. It makes use of an integrated map to make an image of the immovable items in its path. It keeps track of what it has already cleaned and where it cannot access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge and continues cleaning the area it left.
The eufy G30 has its flaws however. The iRobot Roomba is built better and has lower monthly costs. It is faster to charge, has a similar battery life, and is more effective on bare floors or low-pile carpet. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be emptied as frequently and comes with a set of boundaries that ensure it isn't in certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't need emptying as often and it has less trouble with bulky material such as cereal.
